Sarpsborg Chi består av mennesker som setter lojalitet og disiplin høyt, samtidig som vi legger vekt på trivsel og respekt. Det er en kampsportklubb både for mosjonister som vil ha det gøy, og de som ønsker å satse på alle nivåer. Vår hovedinstruktør Chris Dat Ngo gikk på Shooters MMA Fight Team skole i Gøteborg, og har over 15 år erfaring innenfor kampsport (bla. taekwondo, kickboksing, SW og MMA). Han har mest erfaring som instruktør innenfor kickboksing og MMA og over 10 års erfaring som trener, innenfor kickboksing, SW og MMA. Kickboksing består av en kombinasjon av slag fra boksing og spark fra karate. Kickboksing har sin opprinnelse fra USA i 1972. Sporten ble lansert i Europa og først i Tyskland i 1974 under navnet "kontaktkarate". K-1 er en type kampsport som kombinerer teknikker fra thaiboksing, karate, taekwondo, savate, «San Shou», kickboksing og tradisjonell boksing. Det er også navnet på organisasjonen som arranger denne kampsporten. Røttene til moderne MMA kan spores tilbake til antikkens olympiske leker og pankration, en av de tidligste dokumenterte fullkontakts kampsportene. Kampen starter stående del med fristilbryting/nedtakninger og videre på bakken delen sikter til en teknikk som får motstanderen til å klappe i matten/gulvet eller på motstandere for å signalisere at man gir seg. Ordet kommer fra ordet submit som betyr å «gi opp».
